Oh,Hi, have you ever wondered how astronauts eat in space? Well, if you do you ain’t have to anymore because… i’m going to tell you! So you just sit back and enjoy the explanation!
In space, even in the space station the gravity isn’t the same here on earth. This means that when you want something to eat you can’t have your normal snack.
Why? Because the oxygen and the gravity affects how the food stays healthy. Every source of food is kept in zip lock plastic bags.
Firstly, you need to get everything ready. For instance, what if you wanted to have a honey and peanut butter sandwich.
Well first you need bread, oh, i just forgot you can’t use bread in space, you have to use a tortilla! Because when you make crumbs, in space they just float away and you have to go chasing after them! And because the bread isn’t used to it’s new surroundings it goes all soggy.
Ok, we’re back in business!
Now we need the honey, oh it’s actually in a jar! WOW, (not used to that)!
Well, you have to be very careful when you’re pouring your honey! WAIT, do you solemnly swear to pour your honey carefully?!
Ok, here we go! Yes! It’s on oh, and never let go of your tortilla because the tortilla (and everything on it) will go everywhere!
Now the peanut butter, (just do exactly the same thing).
And now, before your eyes you see a peanut butter and honey sandwich made in space. THANKS for watching!
