WASHING YOUR HAIR IN SPACE!!!!!!!

Have you ever wondered how astronauts keep clean in space? Well, if you have ( like me) you’re about to find out. It’s hard for them to clean in space, because there’s no gravity. Gravity is an invisible force that pulls things down. So in space, everything floats. For example…EVEN HUMANS FLOAT!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, back to my explanation. So, I will tell how  they do it:

They have a special type of pouch that has a lid and is full with soapy water. They get the pouch and squeeze the liquid onto their skulp. Because there is no gravity, the water won’t just flow out, it will make a bubble. Then you get your shampoo and squeeze it through your hair. Then you get your conditioner and rub it on your skulp. Then you get the pouch and squeeze the water on your head and comb it out. So now you should have clean hair!!!!

So now you know!!! I hope to see you next time!!!

Dear Wally the watermelon

I hope that your hay fever has gone away.

Anyway that is not why I  am sending this letter.

I am sending this letter because i’m very sorry but your great great great Aunty has passed away.

Her name was Petunia.

She died in a hot air balloon accident.

I’m very sorry.

Kind regards Sylvie.

Washing your hair in space!

Have you ever wondered how astronauts shower in space? They can’t have a normal shower like you or I do on earth. Even if they tried, the water would float around and it just wouldn’t work. All because of gravity, an invisible force that pulls things down. But in space there is no gravity. As a result, you can’t do ANYTHING normally in space.

First, you need a comb, a towel, shampoo and a pouch of warm soapy water, plus a mirror to see what you’re doing. In the space station all of these things are strapped to a wall so they don’t float away.

To actually wash your hair, first, you need to squirt water onto your scalp, then you need to use your fingers to get the water all through your hair. You can use a comb instead if you want to. Try your hardest to catch all the water! Repeat those steps but instead of using water, use shampoo. Next, get your towel and rub your scalp to get the dirt out. Follow that by more water and comb through. Now rub your scalp with the towel one more time. The water will float off gradually and become humidity in the air and be sucked up by an air conditioner and will turn into drinking water.

Now if you think you can do that, try learning how to go to the toilet in space!

Showering in Space

By Mabel Watson

Have you ever wondered how astronauts shower in space? Well I’m here to tell you!

Well, in space you have to run twice a day and you must get SUPER sweaty. So you must take a shower. But of course the showers won’t  be the same as on Earth because there is no gravity!

Astronauts use small water pouches with pre-mixed soapy water which attaches to the wall with velcro strips so it does not fly away. They also have small hand towels to help clean their face and hair. The astronauts have little pottles of runny shampoo.

Ok so right now you’re probably wondering how they actually take a shower. First the astronauts take the water pouch and squeeze the water on the hand towel and dab it on their face. Then they squirt some shampoo around their hair and dab some more water on themselves finally they dry their hair.

AND THAT’S HOW YOU SHOWER IN SPACE!!!

How To Sleep In Space By Billie

Have you ever wondered how astronauts sleep in space? Astronauts have their own sleeping pod in the space-craft .But astronauts don’t have a normal bed or else it will float away! Because there is no gravity in space you need a sleeping bag stuck to the wall!! Also because there’s no gravity in space you don’t need a pillow or a blanket.

Astronauts have no pillows or blankets. Because theres no gravity in space so you can relax your body in any position even if you’re in a position where your legs are near your head! Then what if astronauts need to get out?

Outside the sleeping bag there is a zip so you can jump right in.Inside the sleeping bag there’s this thing called fleece and it’s quite fluffy so the astronauts get a good sleep! There’s arm holes at both sides so astronauts can reach for incense they could grab a glass of water or a teddy bear.

EATING IN SPACE BY EVIE

Oh,Hi, have you ever wondered how astronauts eat in space? Well, if you do you ain’t have to anymore because… i’m going to tell you! So you just sit back and enjoy the explanation!

In space, even in the space station the gravity isn’t the same here on earth. This means that when you want something to eat you can’t have your normal snack.

Why? Because the oxygen and the gravity affects how the food stays healthy. Every source of food is kept in zip lock plastic bags.

Firstly, you need to get everything ready. For instance, what if you wanted to have a honey and peanut butter sandwich.

Well first you need bread, oh, i just forgot you can’t use bread in space, you have to use a tortilla! Because when you make crumbs, in space they just float away and you have to go chasing after them! And because the bread isn’t used to it’s new surroundings it goes all soggy.

Ok, we’re back in business!

Now we need the honey, oh it’s actually in a jar! WOW, (not used to that)!

Well, you have to be very careful when you’re pouring your honey! WAIT, do you solemnly swear to pour your honey carefully?!

Ok, here we go! Yes! It’s on oh, and never let go of your tortilla because the tortilla (and everything on it) will go everywhere!

Now the peanut butter, (just do exactly the same thing).

And now, before your eyes you see a peanut butter and honey sandwich made in space. THANKS for watching!

ABOUT MY DAD

My dad is bald. He’s got wrinkles. He plays baseball with me. He always lets me on the ipad. Every Thursday he lets my family watch Lego masters Australia. There’s a problem he does not let me have play dates but only on weekends. He farts a lot? Well let’s get on to the next thing. He sneaks into the fridge at night and eats the chocolate.

MY MUM!!!!!! By Mila

My mum has shiny straight hair that is brown with a tinge of blonde. She has glittering dark brown eyes with a vibrant colour. She wears radiant earrings that shine. She has a beautiful smile that stands out.

My mum is a kind person. She always helps people when they’re in trouble. She loves making  me and Nico happy. She is mindful and caring.

My mum LOVES chocolate!!!!! In my opinion my mum has a good taste  in music. She also likes company.

My mum doesn’t like me and  Nico fighting. She also doesn’t like when my dad does atrocious poos in the bathroom. So I think I got lucky with my mum!!!!

LULU

Lulu, Lulu has curly dark blond hair, huge big blue eyes and ALWAYS wears ponytails to school. Sometimes she can be very irritating.(she mainly does that to annoy me on purpose). She likes wearing skirts and dresses. She also likes going on the trampoline, colouring, camping, eating chocolate, watching T.V and riding her bike. Now, Lulu HATES fish and vegetables. Lulu ESPECIALLY hates broccoli and spinach. When we go out, sometimes she can be occasionally enjoyable and funny, but usually at home she is just annoying. Lulu loves playing. She is one of my younger sisters. Lulu is six years old, and nearly seven.
